Since April 2014, the Kita Magical Dwarfs offers 30 children from the ages 1-6 years of age the opportunity to play, romp around, explore and cuddle. n just eight months of planning and construction, three bright freshly colored, age-appropriate group rooms, a play hall and a bathroom cloakroom, and a bathroom were built in a former business unit.

The design idea of a life-size rainbow spreads across the newly structured business unit. There are colored stripes on the walls and the ceiling of the daylight-free hall, creating their own world with a bright, friendly atmosphere. The stripes of colors extend until they reach the group rooms with large windows and the bathroom. The yellow and turquoise tones are displayed on the walls as well as the tiles, regardless of the material.
In this daycare there is not only space for 30 children but also a magical dwarf. The children encounter his tracks everywhere: his apartment which is a small wooden box is hidden in the cloakroom. In the corridor, his wardrobe is integrated into the wall and can be found at footboard level. As the magical dwarf is rarely seen, the children can write and post it in the mailbox at his apartment. Thus, the magical dwarf is able to help the children, advising them on anything they need.
For the Kita Zauberzwerge, baukind was commissioned with all planning services, from the design to the ordering of the interior furnishings as well as the construction management. In addition, baukind was once again responsible for the funding application and provided a sponsor with the application for funding and took over the coordinating with the departments involved.
