Berlin urgently needs more school places. Therefore, in addition to new school buildings, contemporary Modular Extension Buildings, known as “MEB,” are being used. The Senate Departments for Education, Youth and Family, as well as Urban Development, Building and Housing, have jointly developed these types of buildings. They are prefabricated in series and can be constructed within a few months. The first “MEB” was built in 2013. The 80th MEB will be in use by the end of 2024.
We develop the color concepts for the facades and the entire interior of the MEBs, define quality standards and materials, and plan the fixed interior furniture.
