The form, material, and color give the design of the day care center Drachehöhle a natural feel, which fits the pedagogical concept of this center. The combination of natural materials with a minimal form language brings peace and structure into the everyday lives of the children and at the same time offers a wide range of possibilities for physical activity.

The themes of nature and landscape can also be found in the wall design and the composition of the tiles. There are climbing trees integrated into the space, which kids can play with and try out. The hooks in the wardrobe and bathroom are also made of wild wood. Baukind tried to maintain as much as possible from the original design of the space which was a former sauna and salt-flat landscape.
